Most people these days aren’t 16 and aren’t working jobs that promote activity yet they just go outside and run ignoring the preparation. Running like any other activity or sport demands preparation. One of the key things to prepare is hip mobility / flexion, some runners and sports physiologist state just better hip flexibility will improve your running as much training. Recently Outside Magazine Online put together a good piece on this with a warm up of the Gary’s Lunge Matrix, “husk husk!”
Follow this up with a post run couch stretch featured by sports therapist Kelly Starrett, and see how it helps your skatboarding.
Basically its the motion in the ocean and not the size of your stride or something like that, so hopefully this helps, remember RUNBEST!
